Looking for Low-Barrier Opioid Use Treatment? Join Horizon’s MAT Connect Program!

What is MAT Connect?

Horizon’s MAT Connect Program aims to quickly connect individuals looking for Opioid Use Disorder treatment to evidence-based services. Medication-Assisted Treatment, or “MAT,” is the use of medications, alongside counseling and behavioral therapies, to treat substance use disorders.

Horizon’s MAT Connect Program is a low barrier program that quickly connects patients with counselors, MAT services, harm reduction resources, as well as provides them with access to other Horizon services such as Peer Advocates.

Our MAT Connect Program is available at our Batavia Recovery Center, Pine Avenue Recovery Center, and Lockport Recovery Center.

What does being involved in the MAT Connect Program entail?

Initial appointments for MAT Connect participants are typically scheduled within a week of calling. Two appointments are scheduled, one with a counselor as well as one with an Addiction Specialist/MAT Provider.

The MAT Connect Program also includes a harm reduction approach, Narcan trainings, and more.

How do I get started with the program?

To enroll in the MAT Connect Program, call our Patient Engagement Center at 716-831-1800 to schedule your initial appointments. You can also request an appointment here.

You don’t have to struggle alone. Horizon is here to help.
