Horizon is holding it’s second annual Walk Towards a New Horizon on Sunday, September 27, 2015. The walk will be held at Delaware Park Ring Road, near Colvin and Amherst across from Nichols High School. Registration will begin at 8:30 and the walk will begin promptly at 10 a.m.
Horizon offers HOPE to individuals struggling from substance abuse or mental health disorders. We hope our community comes together to help raise funding for our exciting new project — opening a new treatment facility on the Horizon Village Campus. This facility will specifically meet the needs of our young adult community who are suffering with addiction.
Did you know?
- 60% of overdose deaths are caused by prescription painkillers?
- One in every 10 high school 12th grade students has admitted to incorrectly using prescription painkillers.
- Approximately 199,429 of 2009’s emergency room visits were among youths and young adults under the legal drinking age of 21.
- Mental illness plays a huge role behind the scene of many addictions. In fact, 2012 statistics show that 8.4 million Americans who abuse substances also suffer from at least one mental illness.
Please come out and support our goal to raise awareness and help raise funding for our new young adult inpatient rehab facility. At Horizon, we are proud to offer people a chance at living healthy and productive lives.
