What is your “why” for working at Horizon?
My own experiences have guided me towards work that heals, supports, and empowers others. From my first day, Horizon consistently provides meaningful opportunities to live that purpose, while also being alongside a community of like-minded individuals. Through our community programs, comprehensive internal trainings, and genuine commitment to staff well-being, Horizon has always shown a dedication to staff growth and development. What opportunities has Horizon provided you that have helped you grow in your career?
Horizon is an organization where planning for career growth starts from your very first day! My goals have consistently been acknowledged and considered throughout my time here. As a result, Horizon has offered several training opportunities, both internally and externally, to assist me in meeting those goals. I was first welcomed into this organization as a Senior Counselor II and then promoted to Advanced Practice Clinician. Now, I am serving as Clinical Supervisor and continue to look forward to future growth.
How do you prioritize your wellbeing while also growing and developing in your career?
I prioritize my well-being by practicing self-care and seeking support when needed. As someone who views growth and development as complimentary to my well-being, I also like to pursue growth and learning opportunities that align with my values. This way, I can continue developing professionally while still contributing to my team and community.
