What is your “why” for working at Horizon?
The people – both our patients and our team. When passionate people share a common goal, beautiful things can happen!
What opportunities has Horizon provided you that has helped you grow in your career?
I have found myself growing at Horizon since day one. From Horizon’s strong onboarding process when you first join the team to regular team building, consistent and purposeful supervision, flexibility, and the company-wide focus on the importance of work-life balance, there are countless opportunities to continue growing within the organization.
How do you prioritize your wellbeing while also growing and developing in your career?
I continuously remind myself that energy spreads. If I’m at my best mentally, I’m able to give my best in my career and any other aspects of my life. Spending time with my family and friends, listening to podcasts, going for walks, and reading are some ways I recenter. Self-care is vital to both our personal and professional lives.
What would you say to someone who might be interested in growing their career with Horizon?
The attention and care that Horizon puts into the company culture is really remarkable. Even though Horizon is a large company, I have never felt like just a number, but rather a valued member of the team. I have always felt comfortable reaching out to my coworkers with questions and for guidance, including senior staff, which I think is really special. At Horizon, we truly are all in this together.
