Rynar, a Nurse Practitioner at our 1370 Boulevard location, has been involved in the nursing field since 2005. What are your main focuses of practice?
My main focus in my practice as a Horizon Nurse Practitioner is to provide psychiatric and mental health treatment for adults and adolescents.
What other areas of the medical field have you worked in prior to Horizon?
I have previously worked in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), cardiac care, Hospice, and inpatient psychiatry.
What’s your why? (What makes Horizon special to you? What motivates you to contribute your best every day?)
I want my patients to receive good care and feel better. I believe Horizon offers the tools, resources, and environment for me to accomplish this. I have found that the model of treatment offered by Horizon works well for both me and my patients. Knowing I have an excellent team working beside me, knowing we have and can make a difference in our clients’ lives and our community, is my biggest motivating factor.
What would you tell a patient or family member who may be hesitant to reach out for help? What would you want them to know about our services and treatment?
I would encourage them to take a moment and talk with us and allow us the opportunity to listen and discuss how we can help them. Horizon offers a comprehensive approach to managing mental health concerns, which goes beyond just one counselor or prescriber. We work collaboratively to provide the best possible care, tailored to each individual patient.
