What is the most impactful part of your job?

The most impactful part of my job is seeing the patients I work with come into their own. I love seeing my patients begin prioritizing themselves, having healthy relationships, healthy coping skills, compassion for themselves, and beginning their healing journey.

What are some areas of expertise you would like the community to know you provide? What are your specialties?

I am certified in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder (PMAD) treatment. My passion lies in women’s mental health, domestic violence interventions, and perinatal work. Additionally, I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, self-compassion, and identity exploration interventions.

At Horizon, we provide individual counseling, specialized groups, and psychiatric interventions with trained and certified perinatal specialists. We offer an understanding of what is occurring and have the tools to help our patients navigate this difficult transition in a trauma-informed and non-judgmental space.

Why is it important to reach out? If someone is hesitant to reach out for help, what would you want them to know?

No one should have to navigate life’s difficulties alone. Studies show that more than one in five adults will meet the criteria for a mental health disorder. Everyone deserves to have a safe, informed, and inclusive space to process and heal with a customized course of treatment created just for them.

If you or a loved one is struggling, Horizon is here to help. Call today at 716-831-1800 to learn more.
