Meet Kathy
Kathy is the Nurse Manager for all outpatient services where she manages the RNs who work in the outpatient clinics. In addition to her managerial duties, she also sees clients for intramuscular injection appointments. After working at Horizon for almost two years, Kathy believes one of the best aspects about working at Horizon is the people. She says, “The people at Horizon are the best and there is a wonderful sense of teamwork in the delivery of services.”
Along with Kathy’s co-workers, she believes that Horizon has a corporate culture that fosters respect, placing work and patients as the priority and having easy access and involvement with upper management. At the end of the day, Kathy says she leaves work feeling accomplished in knowing she is helping to save lives. She also enjoys the added benefit of being an RN and working a traditional Monday-Friday schedule.
Meet Kim
Kim is a Food Service Coordinator at our Horizon Village Campus and is responsible for providing three nutritional meals a day for our residents. She has been with Horizon for almost four years and says that some of her favorite aspects of Horizon are her “great management team and always feeling supported.” She also loves Horizon for the team-centered atmosphere and the terrific benefits such as paid time off and Horizon’s retirement plan. Kim is proud to be part of the Horizon staff and goes above and beyond for the residents on a daily basis. She says, “showing daily support, compassion, and respect to the residents really makes a difference and it shows.”
Meet Rayel
Rayel is an Administrative Assistant at Horizon’s Hertel-Elmwood outpatient clinic. She has a hectic, yet rewarding job — juggling phones, emails, managing patient schedules, and most importantly giving our patients a warm welcome when they come for an appointment. Rayel has been with Horizon for over one year and says, “I deeply appreciate the amount of day-to-day contact I have with our patients. I love our work culture and appreciate the goals Horizon sets in regards to our patient’s needs as well as the needs of their employees.” With a large focus on self-evaluation and self-improvement, Rayel feels she has grown as a person since working at Horizon and likes being able to express her ideas and opinions with management who listen and value her feedback.
