Are you pregnant and feeling stressed, scared or overwhelmed?
Did you recently have a baby and are anxious, irritable or sad?
You are not alone.
For too long, women have faced a stigma associated with receiving mental health treatment due to their pregnancy and/or newborn. Bringing a new baby into the world is an amazing and thrilling accomplishment for women. It may seem like the world expects new mothers to radiantly glow from happiness, and that it’s incomprehensible that they could suffer from a form of depression. This often leaves women feeling lonely and ashamed to talk openly about their symptoms or seek help.
At Horizon, we understand pregnancy and the postpartum period can be filled with fear and anxiety, especially during this current period of social distancing and uncertainty. It is overwhelming. It is lonely. You can feel disconnected from your family and newborn. This is completely normal and nothing to feel shame about.
We have perinatal focused mental health therapists who can help you through this difficult time and get you feeling like yourself again.

Hear from a current patient & new mom!
“Working with Diana, my counselor, has made a huge difference in my life. I have always been an anxious person and becoming a mom only made that worse. Prior to having my daughter, Diana showed me how to change my perspective and to check the facts and focus on the realities, not the what ifs. Continuing my care postpartum helped me get through some of my scariest days with a level head and positive outlook. My appointments were my accountability that kept me working on myself. I am forever grateful for all of the hours I’ve spent working with Diana.”
