Horizon University Extends Courses to the WNY Community

Horizon is excited to offer external training courses to the community! We believe that continuing education is a life-long practice and an integral part of thriving in the behavioral health field. Our courses are developed by licensed experts in their area of interest and approved by our internal Clinical Services Department. Courses have also been approved by the New York State Department of Education and the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Use Services (OASAS) to provide continuing education hours toward license and/or designation renewal.

We will be offering the following courses with more to come.

  • Mindfulness: Introduction to Core Concepts & Clinical Applications – October 19, 2018
    Beginnings and implementations of mindfulness, including approaches for individual and group therapy settings.
  • Personality Disorders: Assessment and Treatment – November 9, 2018
    Assessment and interventions for personality disorders, including theory & testing, and individual and group interventions.
  • Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders – December 7, 2018
    Understanding perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in order to better assess and treat this vulnerable population.
