What is your “why” for working at Horizon?
I started at Horizon fresh out of high school with only book knowledge. My experiences here in a managerial role have taught me invaluable street smarts. The creative freedom I have in the kitchen is unparalleled; I can season and present food in my unique way, while incorporating family recipes and patient feedback. This has allowed me to grow significantly in my culinary journey.
What opportunities has Horizon provided you that have helped you grow in your career?
Horizon has provided numerous opportunities to expand my skills – from managing catering for large events, to collaborating with a diverse team. I have participated in competitions where I have received accolades for my culinary creations. These experiences have motivated me to enhance my craft and continue to seek out opportunities for development.
How do you prioritize your well-being while also growing and developing in your career?
I prioritize my interpersonal relations personally and professionally. By acting with kindness and respect, I strive to assist our patients through creating tailored meal plans and fostering collaboration with my colleagues.
