When you or someone you love is ready to stop using substances, the symptoms of withdrawal can be overwhelming and oftentimes may lead to relapse because the sickness can be severe and uncomfortable. Terrace House offers a safe place for medically supervised withdrawal (detox) from substances such as opiates, alcohol and/or benzodiazepines.

Treatment Includes:

  • Development of skills to manage addiction, thoughts, and cravings
  • Coordination with medical providers to prescribe needed medications
  • Interventions to stabilize patients’ mental and physical health conditions
  • Incorporate family and community support systems
  • Aftercare planning and linkage with community supports

Detox:

Our medically supervised withdrawal (detox) program provides 24/7 medical and nursing staff to safely assist patients who are experiencing withdrawal from substances. Patients receive medications to assist with stabilizing symptoms. Individual and group treatment is available to help patients understand their symptoms and begin developing healthy coping skills. Patients work with their treatment team to identify an aftercare plan to continue to support their treatment goals.

What to Expect:

  • Medication protocols utilized to assist with safe detoxification

  • Clinical interventions through individual and group therapy
  • Referrals and linkages to appropriate aftercare treatment programs

Stabilization:

Our stabilization program serves patients who are not experiencing acute withdrawal symptoms, but require personalized and holistic care in a residential setting to support their ongoing recovery. Each patients’ length of stay is dependent on their specific treatment needs. Services available in stabilization:

  • 24/7 medical and nursing staff available
  • Psychiatric and addiction medicine assessments
  • Individualized counseling service
  • Specialized group therapy
  • Family counseling and education groups
  • Wellness classes
  • Opiate overdose prevention training for patients and their supports
  • Peer Advocate services
  • Assistance with linkage to aftercare programs
