Mental Illness Awareness Week 2012: Oct. 7-13, 2012

In 1990, the U.S. Congress established the first full week of October as Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW) in recognition of the National Alliance on Mental Illness’s (NAMI) efforts to raise mental illness awareness.

Below is an infographic that will show you the prevalence of mental illness in the U.S.  Our goal at Horizon is to build awareness, remove the stigma of mental illness, educate our community and get people the help they need.
